Pondok, or Islamic religious schools, are mostly located in the three southern border provinces of Thailand. As far back as I can remember, I became aware of the existence of my grandfather's Islamic school. He built the school to provide an opportunity for many people to come and study, gaining knowledge in Islam, including the study of the Quran. This school operates without profit, driven by an ideology to spread knowledge among the local community. The artworks are a digital collage created from old photographs, reminiscing about an Islamic school in Pattani Province. It aims to create a photographic work of art as a tribute to their memories, the local area, and the people of Islamic schools, within the context of contemporary photography art.
