CREATIVE WORK
"Shape Of Memory"
The contemporary ceramic sculptures in the series “Shapes in the space of memory” stem from an interest in the concept of human-to-human relationships, human-environment relationships, and human-belief relationships. The design studies forms connected to humanity, free-form forms from nature, and the artistic and cultural spaces along the banks of the Saen Saep Canal as the starting point. These spaces have a long-standing connection to the artist, who has witnessed physical and environmental changes and shifts in human lifestyles over time. The artist incorporates findings from past studies on the unique characteristics of human beings as depicted in art, highlighting the relationship between human appearance and behavior and its connection to the environment. When referring to behavior in general, this includes observable external activities that are not internally discernible.
This serves as the foundation for the creative process and the drafting of the artworks. The artist hopes that these ceramic sculptures will provide a framework for studying human forms in ceramic sculpture, exploring the relationships between humans and humans, humans and the environment, and humans and beliefs, reflecting contemporary contexts. Furthermore, the artist aims to generate useful guidelines for art studies and for those interested in further research or development.
